Definitions

2020GreenEnergy — a project to make California Energy-Independent by 2020 using Solar and Wind Energy.
2020-Gre — the acronym for 2020GreenEnergy.
The California Energy Agencies (CEA) — a collective reference to:
These agencies will work together as one to direct the implementation of 2020-Gre,
and in particular, to oversee the creation, operation, and ongoing evolution of CEInet, defined below.
Indeed, they will be to CEInet as NASA is to the space program.
Learning to work together and deal with overlapping of their traditional areas of responsibility may well rival the challenge of new cutting-edge technology and new regulatory challenges.
CEInet — The California Energy Internet — California’s 21st-century Energy Grid.
There will be nothing like it anywhere! CEInet will:
- freely move energy from anywhere to anywhere in California,
- store energy for later use in locations throughout California,
- export surplus energy – only after California’s needs are met – to the rest of North America,
- free California from cascading blackouts like the one which in 2003 put much of the Northeast in the dark, and
- free California from ever having to import energy again!
(CEA-)Certified — applies to electrical components and renewable energy sources which meet CEA’s certification standards. Only Certified components may be incorporated into CEInet.
Variants of this term, such as Certify, Certifiable, etc., have similar meanings.
CleanGreenEnergy — energy from a CEA-Certified renewable energy source that meets CEA’s quality standards, which include such things as freedom from noise or spikes, purity of waveforms, and uniform voltage levels, etc.
If you can hear it on your car radio, it’s not CleanGreenEnergy!
CleanGreenEnergy Source — a CEA-Certified source of GreenEnergy, as defined above.
